Like Yesterday ~poem

I'm checking in
I'm seeing the bed from up in space
We know where I've been
It's not with your best interests

So I just lay still
I wanted to be here anyway
I'll just lay still today
I'm filling the space
Feeling like everything and nothing's changed
I'll just lay still, like yesterday

Now that I'm gone
I'm out of my head, back on the road
I left a light on
The speakerman makes me less alone
He plays a song
It gets to the verse I've never known
And it carries on
Reminds me there's no such thing as patiently waiting around

So I'll promise to lay still
I wanted to be here anyway

Trying to be who's implied
But I've been down.
